I can "absolutely, positively" confirm that the track that +Joshua Day and +sass_jonatha are on the 'Right Track'~!
I have a FFMV162LBA and if you know the right key combination you can enter 'Programming Mode' on anything electronic from a Timex Watch, to your Microwave to your cell phone. This concept has been around since the 70's but, not available until much, much later in the U.S. on residential equipment. If it has "Software" or at least a "Logic Circuit" to control the functions (in other words it can't be a mechanical switch) then it has a 'Programming Mode'. The engineers put them in the software or logic sequencer to enable Technicians to preform "Warranty Repairs".
On the one prev mentioned (162LBA) by pressing the 'STOP/Cancel' button and holding it for 6secs then "All Keypad Functions are Disabled"~! To restore: again hold 'STOP/Cancel' for 6secs (this time the keypad will not beep, of course, when you touch the button).
A call to Electrolux at 800 944 9044 in the USA should allow for some sort of phone tech support above the Customer Service level (this means you have to interface with Customer Service to get to that level).
GOOD LUCK~!acmserviceAug 28, 2017
Cathy, is the microwave jsut Beeping on its own like you are pushing a pad? but you are no where near it?? You hear it from the other room?? If so the problem , mnost likely, is the touch pad. It has a colappsed air pocket for one of the pads, and the main board sees that like you are pushing the pad. The only fix is to replace the touch panel. Some are pricey, others not so bad. First unplug the unit, then The front panel where you puch the pads has to come off and the Controll board removed and the old panel taken off to put the new one on it. If youve never done this , you may want to check with a repair company for an estimate first. Probably can be repaired without taking down. Not a horrible repair.

The only way to stop the beeping is to push the cancel button then immediately open the door. This is the only microwave Ive ever encountered that doesn't stop the beeping when you either open the door or push the cancel button. To make it even more irritating, the beeps are VERY loud and long. Here is a short you tube video posted by someone who recorded this loud and long beeping I am referring to. https://youtu.be/pDq7LTpPNTY

Some models have a feature which will allow you to turn off the beep. check your owner's manual. If you don't have your own owners manual, look for a button that says custom help or info or something like that. And then press that and look at the choices you are presented with. Otherwise, you should be able to find a manual at http://www.frigidaire.com I also have a YouTube video which shows you how to remove the beeper if you want to take such a permanent approach. https://youtu.be/ITHDE-vFaiw

Also, this sequence works on some Frigidaire models.

All of these answers are wrong. You will have to remove the clock panel and remove the buzzer. You tube videos demonsteate.

First press "user pref" button, then the 2 button (for the sound menu) and then press the stop/clear button (for off).

My microwave doesn't have a "user pref" button. I've tried everything. Nothing is working. There is no menu on this microwave that I can find.

This worked. Hit Clock Settings twice, then Op-2 display, Hit Start+30 lo/nor/Hi/oFF scrolls. Touch Start at the oFF display.

All you need to do is hit stop once it starts to beep!

Wrong. On these Frigidaire units neither opening the door or pushing cancel stops the beeps. It works on every other microwave on the planet, but not this one. To stop it you must push the cancel button then immediately open the door.
Jennifer MacGeorgeApr 04, 2018
correct actually. You have to hit stop BEFORE opening the door, and it will, in fact stop beeping. If you open the door first, it will NOT STOP for three long loud beeps.
Dave CullenJul 08, 2019
What an obnoxious answer from Tom. This means every time I heat something, stand by the unit while it works?
Sometimes I'm across the room. I have to hear all 3 long, loud beeps. And then if I don't rush over and do it then, if I get distracted, it does it again in a few minutes. It seems to repeat forever.

I'm not familiar with that particular model, but with many of their models (and many other manufacturer models as well), unfortunately the beep cannot be turned off.

Good Morning Friend,
I understand that you want to turn down the beep on your Frigidaire microwave, model# PLMV169DC. You are not able to turn down the beep, but you are able to turn it completely off. If you wish to have your microwave oven operate with no audible signals, touch Help, the number 2 and Clear/Off. To cancel and restore the audible signal, touch Help, the number 2 and START. Hope this is helpful.
-Best Regards-

HelloShelley, thank you for your inquiry!
Iunderstand your Frigidaire is constantly beeping while they door is unlock, howeverdo you have a range or microwave Frigidaire appliance? The serial tag for arange, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storagedrawer, on the right side and the serial tag for a microwave is in the lowerleft corner as you open the door. With this information I can better addressthe issue at hand. Thank you!

I have the exact same microwave and had the same issue with it having locked itself. I held the Stop button for 5 seconds and it unlocked itself with a beep. That was easy!
